The IBSA provides a wealth of services to both the grieving families of the deceased and to the associated Islamic Organizations and Centers. We have worked tirelessly to acquire a dedicated portion of Restland Cemetery reserved exclusively for the Muslim community of North New Jersey. This goal of this section (dubbed “Islamic Garden”) is to maintain the sanctity of the area for future generations in the context of religious unity. In praxis, the IBSA handles many of the responsibilities associated with a Muslim funeral:

• The IBSA has created a 24 hour phone hotline for grieving families. In the event of a passing, this affords the family a knowledgeable representative to guide them through the funeral process.
• The IBSA will handle proper body release from the hospital to commence funeral services.
• The IBSA will make all arrangements for transportation of the deceased to the Masjid or Islamic Center and to the cemetery itself.
• The IBSA will handle the responsibilities for cleansing of the body.
• The IBSA will deal with cemetery officials in opening and closing of the physical plot.

Mobile Ghusl Facility

IBSA has a unique, one-of-a-kind mobile Ghusl facility for the deceased. This service allows the last rites to be performed in accordance with the Sunnah regardless of the constraints of the physical location of the deceased. The video below tours this facility.
